Numbers 22:21-31

Numbers 22:21-31
Saved From Ourselves

Chapters 21-30 of Numbers is filled with battles, rebellion
and more directions from God about worship.
Though Israel will face many foes in their trip Moab is one of the
greatest. When Moab cannot fight an
enemy they send out their woman to seduce them.
Moses even has a Moabite wife. In
the middle of all of this is Balaam and his donkey. Balaam is a diviner of spirits. The King calls on Balaam to curse the
Israelites because “who you bless are blessed and who you curse are
cursed.” The King of Moab thinks that
Balaam has the power to bless or curse whom he wills. Balaam is not a Prophet of God. Balaam is well known because of his brave ,
loyal, and yes, talking donkey. Even
more interesting is that Balaam talks back to the donkey. Here in this passage we can learn some
