this passage before. And no doubt have
heard many sermons on this passage. I
pray that this will not be like all the sermons you have heard before on this
passage. So stay awake.

THE CHURCH)

(HIS HANDS AND FEET) (USING THE GIFTS
GOD HAS GIVEN YOU)

D. ALL OF THESE ARE IMBEDDED IN THIS CHOICE.

Understanding reality

A. WE ALL WANT TO SERVE GOD

CONCLUSION: These are things we all
know. While we say “Me and My house” the
reality is that God gets squeezed out.
So take some time this week and decompress, rest in God’s hands until
the list goes away. Ask God to give you
your sense of time and space back, so you can serve Him, with all that you are
and not all that you have left.

This one of those difficult passages in
the bible. Joshua destroying the cities,
not leaving anyone alive. We see this
type of ethnic cleaning barbaric. Why
would god judge these people in such a way?
But in the midst of this we find a warning to us today.

B. ISRAEL IS BROUGHT
AS THE PUNISHER

C. ISRAEL IS WARNED
AND TOLD GOD WILL PUNISH THEM

Conclusion:
How will your family stand before God?
You are the key. By living and
teaching the forgiveness of God, your name goes into the Book of Life, and then
there is a greater possibility your family’s name will also.
