INTRODUCTION: I am sure you have heard
this passage before. And no doubt have
heard many sermons on this passage. I
pray that this will not be like all the sermons you have heard before on this
passage. So stay awake.

CHOOSE THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL
SERVE

A. SERVE MEANING BELIEVE IN (WHO IS THE GOD YOU WORSHIP)

B. SERVICE TO GOD (THINGS I DO FOR GOD OR
THE CHURCH)

C. SERVE MEANING DOING THE THINGS OF GOD
(HIS HANDS AND FEET) (USING THE GIFTS
GOD HAS GIVEN YOU)

D. ALL OF THESE ARE IMBEDDED IN THIS CHOICE.

SERVING

Understanding reality

A. WE ALL WANT TO SERVE GOD

CONCLUSION: These are things we all
know. While we say “Me and My house” the
reality is that God gets squeezed out.
So take some time this week and decompress, rest in God’s hands until
the list goes away. Ask God to give you
your sense of time and space back, so you can serve Him, with all that you are
and not all that you have left.
